Eve the movie star

"Hi... Eve here again. Well, it seems they were listening to me, because I've got my own movie now! Check it out right here..."

"It shows some photos of when I was found by my friend, Inspector Todd, after being soooo long without food or water. I couldn't actually stand on my legs, because I didn't have any strength left, but he was nice and he carried me away from that awful place and he brought me to the Auckland SPCA Animal Village."

"Now I'm feeling soooo much better! My friends at the SPCA have helped me a lot and I don't know all their names but I do know that I won't forget them."

A lot of people have generously donated to help pay for Eve's treatment, care, and towards a Prosecution Fund. On behalf of Eve and the animals like her, we at the Auckland SPCA thank you very much.
If you wish to donate to the Auckland SPCA, you can go directly to our donations page here, or you may wish to sign-up to our HOPE Programme - more information here.

So beautiful and happy awsome to see you getting strong Eve. Great work SPCA you have done just the best job possible and I can't wait to see the old "owners", (really cant call them owners no can we) go to court and face up to what they have done.

Damn right your a movie start Eve, you have touched the hearts of so many. How wonderful to see you now without bones protruding. Keep up the incredible work and may your tail wag for many happy years to come and hig pats on the back for the staff and management of the SPCA.

Your movie brought tears to my eyes - I hope Eve's plight makes people more aware of how much of this sort of thing goes on. You must have quite a few 'stars' come through your SPCA and I imagine the only reason the lucky ones live is because of the dedication and love you give to them while trying to save their lives. The ex-owner(s) of Eve can't hide forever - they will be found.

There is a part of me that wishes that when the SPCA finds the 'owners' that they lock THEM under a house for 5 weeks with no food and water and see how they like it..

Thank you so much for sharing these updates on Eve. When I saw the initial news story on 3 News I cried! And tears came to my eyes again watching this movie. It is an amazing testament to the skills and care of the SPCA, and Eve's own strength of character that she has made such a recovery - both physically and emotionally.
She is a truly beautiful creature and I am so glad she has found a happy home, and is learning that humans aren't all bad.
